Hi Matt here. I started working in an edit suit over 20 years ago for Carlton TV, who also had audio-dubbing suites and an OB department.

I worked in their St John's Wood studio and on location for over 10 years. I then moved to the United States, I have a Green Card, and continued to work for the biggest live facilities company in the country, NEP Mobiles. Since returning to the UK I have been freelancing on live events, reality shows, commercials and ob docs. I have been working for SAB Sound for the last 3 years and have enjoyed the work the network has taken on.

Even after all these years I still enjoy the work I do. For the most part it's the people I work with who make the job interesting, the camaraderie on shoots is second to none. As we all know the world of work has changed out of all recognition recently and the technology required to get the job done has created some interesting solutions. I found myself at the forefront remote productions for Sky, BBC, Channel 4 and IMG. I'm about to fly to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup before returning to the US in the summer of 2023 for the start of a new project.
