Matt boasts nearly two decades of experience as a Director of Photography, specialising in Broadcast Television, Commercials, and short-form narrative projects. My journey started at Shift 4 Equipment hire facilities, where I honed my skills across various areas, encompassing lighting, sound recording, and camera operations. Transitioning into freelance work, I found myself working on numerous well-known Television programs for networks such as BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of traveling the world in pursuit of my craft. From filming Cruise ship commercials in Southeast Asia to documenting culinary competitions atop Icelandic volcanoes, I love the dynamic challenges inherent in both filming and travel. In addition to Photography, I also edit. Having edited fast-paced Promos for the BBC over an extended period. My specialisation lies in crafting short-form, high-energy promos for many of the UK production companies. I believe editing gives me a unique advantage when it comes to filming and knowing what is needed. Recently, I've shot some award-winning short narrative films, working as part of a large-scale production. I also currently have a couple of large format entertainment shows on Prime Video where I headed up a crew as camera Supervisor in the studio and then DP out in the field. Whether collaborating within the confines of a 3-person documentary crew or spearheading complex multi-camera productions, I'm loving every minute of it!
