Rob has over twenty years of experience in both long and short form productions which have won him multiple accolades at Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA, Visible Spectrum Awards and Loeries. Always exploring, always a pioneer, he’s a powerful force of tenacious perfectionism and passion. He has worked on hundreds of TV commercials as both Cinematographer and Director, for the world’s major brands like, BMW, Peugeot, Chevrolet, Isuzu, Lexus, Toyota, Coca Cola, Samsung, Standard Bank, Absa Bank, Nike, Tiger Brands, MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, Pernod Ricard, De Stijl, SA Breweries, Danone, Diageo and many more. Rob has an inimitable and expressive visual language, which translates beautifully to the screen. This, coupled with his deep understanding of performance, composition, music and editing, makes him a multifaceted and highly respected cinematographer and film maker. Rob is also a specialist underwater camera operator and works with high speed motion control & robotics with a focus on liquids, he is also handy with the wheels. He is an exceptional collaborator and loves a challenge. He is experienced across a very wide range of camera systems having begun his career on 35mm film and embraced digital technology with Sony Venice, Arri Alexa and Red cameras.
