Meet the Musicians: Maria Włoszczowska | Royal Northern Sinfonia

Camera Operator & Director of Photography

Filming 'Meet the Musicians'.

I was excited to be asked back as Director of Photography to The Glasshouse International Centre for Music to continue the 'Meet the Musicians' series in partnership with the Royal Northern Sinfonia.

As first chair Maria played Johann Sebastian Bach, Violin Sonata No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1005: III. Largo as her solo piece to camera which left the entire crew speechless. It was so much fun filming with Maria around Newcastle’s Laing Art Gallery which included a scenic walk through the city down to the river.

The 'Meet the Musicians' series is a chance to get to know the players of Royal Northern Sinfonia off-stage, how their music life began, and what they love most about playing in an orchestra.
