Promote yourself across our social media

Social media is probably the easiest way to get involved in our marketing. We're constantly promoting our members across our social channels to showcase the talent in our community to those in production and the industry.

What kind of content are we looking for?
  • BTS images and videos - could be showcasing your location, kit, a funny moment, anything!
  • Day in the life videos - take our followers along on a day in the life of someone working in film & tv
  • Also keep an eye out for our content callouts in the Whatsapp 'SAB Marketing Team' Group or Connections newsletters which tend to ask for content off the back of trends and seasons.

How to submit your content

Submit your content for social either through the 'SAB Marketing Team' Whatsapp Group or by emailing
lauren@lydiamansi.com

When submitting your content, make sure you provide the following:
  • Your name and job role on the production
  • Whether the production details are under NDA - if it's under embargo still but we can post your BTS, tell us what details we can include
  • Share an interesting fact to accompany the image or video. It could be about the location, the kit you're using, the production, an anecdote or even a pun!
Image and video format:
  • 1:1 or 9:16 ratio or can easily be cropped to these sizes without losing quality
  • Videos - Instagram and Facebook Reels need video to be vertical (9:16 or 4:5)

Tips for submitting social media content

1. Tell us what's going on
We know that a lot of production details can be under embargo up until they air. Don't let this stop you from sharing broader bts imagery. Talk about your kit on set, being in a particular environment, a challenge you faced while shooting or an experience that does not directly link to the production details.

Our audience is much more interested in your experience versus production details they can get from the broadcaster, so make the content you submit personal.

2. Put the TX cards aside!
Our followers don't engage with TX cards and social media is very much about authenticity and sharing real life imagery. For this reason, we'd much prefer you to send through bts imagery and videos. If you're not comfortable in front of the camera, capture your environment, your kit or other crew you're with who don't mind being photographed!

3. You don't have to be hanging off the side of a mountain to create interesting content!
Your niche could be corporate events or maybe you work mainly from home, editing away. That's still interesting! Can you share details on your day in the life editing? What does a one-day corporate shoot look like, from kit, turnaround time and tasks that need to be completed in that short timeframe?

You might find that these type of ideas are more word heavy instead of visual but as long as you have some imagery that establishes the context, they absolutely work on social too.
