I was Shotover M1 technician and camera assistant, on a shoot following the challenges of a Lioness and her three cubs. Tough conditions in a remote area of the Okavango Delta, Botswana, meant I was regularly baby sitting the gimbal through it's more sensitive moments... Efficiently rigging the gimbal to a vehicle mounted spring arm, testing, fault finding and keeping the system going was my primary role.

I was also part of the second camera team, and shot BTS tracking the Lions through the bush using Sony FX6. Alongside these roles, I assisted the team wherever I could. I always jump at the chance to embed myself in a remote team, and learn as much as I can from DOPs.
