SDZ Wildlife Alliance - Conservation Project
Wildstar Films
This was a dream project to be involved with. Commissioned by San Diego Zoo's Wildlife Alliance, a short conservation film exploring, revealing and promoting a multitude of biodiversity and rainforest initiatives based in the Peruvian Amazon, in an attempt to gain support. These spanned from scientific research into endangered species, where we explored ground-breaking new equipment and techniques. Indigenous community led cacao, chocolate production and Banana plantations, through to sustainable, conservation driven logging operations.
My main role was long lens camera operator, building sequences of the area's incredible wildlife to support the film's message.

Alongside this, I was B camera for contributor interviews and obs doc sequences, shooting on the Ronin 4D with the new X9, as well as shooting all the GVs of the jungle environment, using Ronford Baker slider/ 4D gimbal/ and handheld.

We shot in three different locations, and travelling with huge amounts of kit meant inevitably encountered issues to overcome as a team, along with a lot of trekking, a lot of sweating and a lot of bites!
