Colombia... a place that has truly captured my heart. I consider myself fortunate to have spent an enriching 5 weeks filming in what I can honestly say is the most incredible country I've ever had the privilege to visit. The warmth and kindness of the people, their understanding, and unwavering support were a delightful surprise, especially considering the hardships they've endured in the past.

I embarked on this journey as a passion project, creating a documentary that explores the essence of womanhood within the vibrant tapestry of Latino culture in the world of climbing. It was an arduous shoot, marked by tight budget constraints that led to sharing rooms and beds, adapting to erratic schedules, constantly being on the move, and working tirelessly for over 20 days. We even encountered breakdowns along the way, but would I do it all over again? Without hesitation!

As the Director of Photography (DOP) for this documentary, I formed deep connections with the characters, capturing their lives, their stories, and their climbing adventures. Some locations were incredibly remote (Jungles and Mountains), requiring days of trekking to reach, while others demanded strenuous hikes through challenging landscapes, all while lugging heavy camera gear. Filming on ropes always provides a thrilling perspective, scaling heights to capture shots that remain unattainable from the ground or even a drone!
