I was embedded on an oilfield construction barge in the Gulf of Mexico for four weeks, filming the installation of large oilfield infrastructure.

Working with first-time contributors, I had to establish and foster good working relationships from the captain to the lowest deckhand.

With no control over the narrative and direction, constant revisiting of the anticipated story arcs was essential to return home with a cogent and editable story.
