This was a project for that 6:30pm slot - the idea being prime time TV on a daytime budget! It was a fast-paced shoot usually filming two stories per day plus GVs and PTCs. I had Sam Taylor as second camera operator and we would cross shoot most items - I tried to stick to my Canon CNE Cine Primes on both cameras as much as possible to give that premium look. Filming in small Italian Kitchen's for cooking sequences I had to think carefully about where to hide small light sources and this is where my light sticks and flexible LED panels came into their own. While we mostly shot handheld, we would also try and use my Ronin Gimbal with A7S mk3 for certain PTCs and GVs. All in all, a great shoot and I'm proud with what we achieved on a packed schedule.
