A League of Their Own - European Tour

CPL

Four presenters enter the word famous Tomatina Festival - where 145 tons of rotten tomatoes are thrown on the streets of Buñol in Valencia. Utter carnage ensured, but we managed to get audio recorded and no kit destroyed in the crush!

These trips often involved 4 principal artists and up to 8 contributors - all covered by 5 main cameras and multiple Go-Pros and in-car rigs.

I was responsible for getting timecode working across all of the crew to make the editing process seamless, as well as delivering a working guide-sound mix to each of the 5 main cameras at all times. For 'Star Car" tracking - we recorded the principals in a hidden rig on the boot of the car and re-transmitted that mixusing roof-top aerials to a follow vehicle so that production could listen in to was was being said. These sort of gigs are all about thinking on your feet as whatever plans are roughly in place at the start of the day soon turn to ashes as soon as we begin filming. the key skill is working extremely quickly and efficiently in the background.
