The team shot three episodes, Paris, Rome and Berlin. Once again, it was a two camera (wide and tight affair) with occasional gimbal shots, meaning the entire show was done mostly on radio mics. Unplanned and unscripted, the only chance you get is your first instinct on how to get it correct. There were a few challenging parts - including mic'ing up a motorcycle ride in Rome, with two mics on the presenter - a DPA6061 in the scarf and a Sanken COS-11 in the helmet attached to a Zaxcom ZFR - all recorded as I followed her on the back of scooter holding the aerials while weaving in and out of the traffic. We also had to deal with hot air balloon rides, German Oompah Bands, biker gangs, fashion shows, standing on the roof of Norte Dame cathedral and exploring the Sistine Chapel by ourselves at 5am
