Recorded on location at the Mugello GP track in Italy, I need to capture the sound of the new high performance motorcycle travelling at up to 325kph. I used a huge selection of mics and recorders to capture stereo atmos reflecting back from the mountains, stereo up and pasts using a Neumann 191 and on-board mics which were DPA4062 lo-sens into a SD633 and a selection of Zaxcom ZFR recorders. The massive wind blast was the major hurdle I had to overcome, but somehow managed to deliver working audio to the team at MACHINE post in London, who wove the results into what you hear on the commercial.
