Sound Post Production

There's no denying that if it wasn't for Manchester music scene of the early 90s I wouldn't be doing what I do now! There's a logical flow...

From recording bands, understanding microphones, to mixing desks and live sound --> Sound editing for pictures using the first digital workstations --> Dubbing mixer at a West London post production house. The change from studio to location came when mixing Lonely Planet programmes, seeing the rushes on the monitor in an air-conditioned windowless studio and wishing to make the move to the other side of the camera.

Roll on 20 years and although I now spend most of my working life on location, at home I have a surround sound Pro Tools based setup, which I use primarily for mixing and creating surround soundscapes, atmos and remixing field recordings.
