Ash is a freelance lighting cameraman with over 25 years experience in Broadcast Television Production.

He started his career in Factual programming in the mid-’90s and in 1998 moved to London to work at the Factual department at Tiger Aspect Productions.

After a couple of years working for an equipment hire facility he went freelance gaining invaluable experience working on some fantastic documentaries across the world.

He has worked on a mixture of 16mm film, tape and now digital acquisition, from Entertainment to Drama doc, Factual and Branded Content, in environments from jungles in Borneo and Madagascar to the deserts of the Kalahari in South Africa, the Sahara in Morocco and Kuwait.

Ashley has Camera supervised a number of multi-camera productions and alongside his usual broadcasting commitments has worked on a number of high profile 360 / VR projects.

Most recently he has worked on Food programmes such as James Martin's Great British Adventure, James Martin's Island to Highlands, Ainsley's Fantastic Foods and series 1 and 2 of Simply Raymond Blanc for ITV. He has just returned from filming 'Dubai Dishes with Jason Atherton' in the UAE.
